Things To Do2024-02-29T17:04:51+00:00

The Chalet Saunton is situated in one of the most desirable locations in the country, with the gorgeous family and pet friendly beach only a few minutes’ walk.

The three-mile-long Saunton Sands sits just beyond North Devon’s two other famous beaches, Croyde and Woolacombe, and is backed by the spectacular Braunton Burrows, a UNESCO designated Biosphere Reserve, and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

North Devon has long been a mecca for British surfers, drawn to the variety of waves that break along its golden beaches. This stretch of coast, including Saunton Sands, is now a World Surfing Reserve, one of just 12 such places on the planet.

Saunton and the local area is ideal for partaking in many varied activities, including several water-sports, golf and horse riding. There really is something for everyone, and most of them can be enjoyed without getting in the car.

Chalet Saunton provides a base for many shooting teams visiting nearby shoots over the years with the owner choosing to host his shoot parties at the property when he visits places like North Molton, Molland and the neighbouring Clovelly Estate.
